Salomé Moshfegh-Shieh

UX Designer

I am one of the co-founders of Kooshesh, the largest non-profit Persian school and cultural center in Orange County, CA. Our institution teaches Persian language, dance, and music to children and adults, and you can find us at https://kooshesh.org/.
I have always been “the creative type.” Deep down, with a passion for creating visual art throughout my life, I yearned to marry creativity and my professional career. An engineer by trade and a Supply Chain practitioner by occupation
for years, I've mastered an analytical eye by working in large corporations like Pepsi Co. & Unilever. But none of that prepared me for the next role, becoming a stay-at-home mom and home-educator to my children!
In pursuit of becoming a homeschool parent, I took many courses and spent countless hours learning about human behavior, learning styles, and compassionate communication. I enjoyed research, whether it was looking for a new curriculum or a new pair of snow boots!
So, you can only imagine my excitement when I stumbled upon the realm of UX/UI design while researching career shift opportunities. I love how it allows me to be “creative” but also requires me to draw from tools and skills I have gathered throughout my career. My unique background and experiences bring something fresh to the table.
